Reader Suggestions Week

Well, I've been busy with things and trying to enjoy Summer lately, leaving me with little to tend to and update the blog. So, after checking my inbox and seeing several suggestions about things to put in blogs, I decided to have a reader suggestion week.

All you have to do is think up a good idea for a blog and send it to me. If I like your idea, I will message you back telling you that I've chosen your idea to include in a blog. You will be given credit for it and I'll post a link to your homepage/myspace so people can see who you are (If you do not want a link back to your page, just tell me).

I'm sure it's a little late in the game to be adding this, but I guess I should because everyone else has one. Incase you are by chance autistic or just stupid, FAQ stands for Frequently Asked Questions, not a misspelling of "fag" or anything else.

What is this about?
This blog is about the many reasons as to why myspace sucks. Occasionally, I will
make a post about something different, usually a top story in the news such as Darfur, banning gay marriage, or the next hurricane to wipe out New Orleans.

Why do you have a myspace if you hate it?
The same reason that I made a ratepals profile, it helps get blog hits, and that helps inform the public.

Another great feature of myspace is the advertisement of pornographic paysites to the youth! Many people get messages from people they don't know, most of which are brief bullshit sentances about how they are new to myspace and just meeting some people. Ironically, all of these messages tend to be written nearly the same. And if you go to their myspace, it is usually nothing but 1 picture. Well today, I happened to find yet another one of these messages! The message is below, with my response.

Greetings, whore! Maybe next time you decide to start up a softcore porn website, you should actually try advertising on at a different place, or not at all, ugly twat.

You see, the people you're targeting for your website are underaged. I can tell because my age is set as 16 (so dumb fucking webmasters like you don't advertise to me). I seriously doubt that anyone would want to see you on a webcam doing anything.

Now please, do everyone a favor, if you would be so considerate, take your rusty metal dildo and go fuck yourself.

Well, I guess I should include a moral to this post. These posts are done by webmasters and affiliates of varying sites. While it isn't illegal to send these messages out (even if you aren't 18, they commonly have a main page in which you need to specify if you are of the legal age for the site), it is still annoying and noone wants an ugly hooker sending them anything (usually an STD).

If you want to help do your part for the community and get rid of these fucking schmuck-offs, when you get their messages, don't bother opening them, just flag them or report them as spam.

A websites rank is based on how many hits (visits) it gets daily and in total (Unique and Re-occuring Hits). Obviously, the more hits, the better rank you're site will have.

So, I took this into consideration and decided to look into the daily hits of myspace. I had moniter different sections of the site daily to do this, which is why I haven't updated for a while.

Based on rank, the first website is Google, and the ranks went from 1 to 1 Million. After looking through 19 seperate pages of myspace, I found that 15 out of 18 were in the top 5000. While 5000 may seem like a large number, it's actually only 0.5% of the total ranked sites. The list of sites (and the links) is below. I'll put in some other facts about it, also. (The lower the number, the higher the rank)
